In 2014 Romania received alarming news, the country had one of the highest school drop-out rates in the European Union: 18%. From that point on multiple campaigns were made by the local government and non-profits to raise awareness and try to keep those numbers as down as possible.
In 2016 Geometry Global Bucharest had a very creative idea along with the Romanian Football Federation that was welcomed by every with open arms. First they came out with a textbook with soccer themed math problems to show children how math is used everywhere.
The second step was that the Romanian National Team would train and warm-up with jerseys that had math problems on them during a friendly against Spain leading to the 2016 Euro Cup.
The creativity and novelty of the event lead to headlines not only in Romania but all over the world, making the campaign a success from an awareness point of view.
